The arrival of the 645D Pentax medium format digital camera ended my use of film. The quality and size of the images it produces (60 mg Raw files and 120 mg Tiff files), coupled with the convenience of seeing what I’m capturing in real time (buffer aside), just weighted too heavily in its favour.
I’m just finishing up a two week assignment in the Solomon Islands – the third in a project to build the national tourism authority’s on-line image library.
