“We like the idea of making beautiful travel books and souvenir publications that sit in people’s homes to remind them of the time they spent in some amazing part of the world.”
David’s company, Frontier Publications, has published 17 books and a stable of photographic souvenir publications on the destinations he has photographed. His flagship publications include The Pocket Guide series of Australian tourism regions, several coffee table books on Papua New Guinea, and The Gift Book series of countries in the South Pacific.
Production has finished on two new wall calendars (pictured right) we’ve published on Papua New Guinea for 2023 - an A3 sized, Collector's Edition Calendar, of which only 500 will ever be produced, and a standard A4 sized wall calendar for general sale and marketing.
The Collector’s Edition Calendar can only be ordered on-line. The A4 Calendar is available through retail outlets in Papua New Guinea.
Options to publish wall calendars on other South Pacific destinations were limited this year coming out of Covid, however, production has already begun on a new series of calendars for 2024 featuring Pacific island children, and some of the region’s most appealing backdrops.
“So, you’re visiting Australia’s Red Centre and you want to know what there is to see and do. Time, money and interest are all likely to make you selective but the last thing you want to feel at the end of your adventure is that you’ve missed anything."
....and so begins The Traveller’s Guide to The Red Centre (right), a 200 page travel guide and souvenir book which will include 40 short stories and more than 100 photographs of Central Australia.
Work has begun on the fourth publication in David’s gift book series on countries of the South Pacific, this time featuring the island nation of Vanuatu.
This will be the 18th book produced by Frontier Publications.
The hard-cover coffee table book (right) will contain more than 150 of David’s favourite photographs of Vanuatu including the attractions of Efate, Tanna Island, Espiritu Santo, Pentecost Island and the Banks Islands.
A distributor is being sought for the book.
