It’s been 12 months, to the day, since I put in my bid to win Kegl Sugl – a 115 year old Queenslander nestled into the side of Buderim, overlooking the Sunshine Coast.
With renovations completed, furniture bought to suit the style of the house, and an assortment of “toys” sitting in the garage, I figure I’ve pretty-well settled in. I’m mortgage free, a 15 minute cycle from the beach, and within an hour’s drive of an international airport. Life’s grand.
The second phase of the plan I hatched a year ago involves swapping my house to go and live overseas for three months of the year (or renting it out for the longer gigs where I’m keen to write another book – Greece likely to be first cab off the rank).
