Colourful exit to the Cook Islands

I’m always on the lookout for colors and combinations of colors to use as a background for the subjects I photograph. Bright, happy colors work particularly well in tourism. These young girls (above) were dancing when I first saw them on a stage at the Saturday markets in Rarotonga in the Cook Islands. While they were cute enough in their own right to warrant a photograph, I arranged to return and meet them some time after the crowds had gone to shoot them against the colored walls of the groovy little food and artisan stalls that characterise the markets. Nice images to conclude my assignment in the Cook Islands methinks. Thanks Papatua.
