I’m in Cairns having, literally, just stepped off a 10 day cruise of PNG on the luxury cruiser, True North.
It was a top cruise (as you’d expect for AUD$30,000 a head, he says) with exquisite food, fine service, diving, snorkelling, fishing, helicopter rides through some of the most remote country on earth, and the company of some seriously well-off people. Of course, some lovely photo opportunities unfolded as we weaved in and out of the northern islands and up the Sepik River to photograph the crocodile scarification ceremony.
Here’s a few pics (below) which I’ll add to later.
P.S To those on the cruise, I didn’t get to say goodbye to at Cairns airport, my apologies. You were a pleasure to travel with but my coral cut was throbbing and I needed to get myself to a doctor before Michael’s prophecy came true and I had to have my leg amputated…..(it’s a photographers thing; I think he was joking).
