I’m just back from a 10 day assignment of Vanuatu, the second phase of a project to build an On-Line Photo Library for the country’s national tourism authority.
In the first stage, we concentrated on Pentecost Island and Espiritu Santo. This time, we did Tanna – the volcano island – and a bit of the main island, Efate.
I return in August with talent to concentrate on Efate and visit Malekula which will largely complete the project and see the delivery of a 300 strong, high-resolution On-Line Photo library that will be used to promote the destination worldwide.
Here’s a short preview (below) of some of the images which were captured in the shoot I just returned from (give it a few seconds to load properly before clicking the arrow on the right-hand side of the pictures to scroll forward). For your interest, Chief Isaac Wan – the guy in uniform with the American flag in the background – is the leader of the John Frum cargo cult.
..And, here’s a preview of some of the earlier pics we captured on Pentecost and Espiritu Santo (below).
Next Post: A more fine art take on the Vanuatu islands I’ve shot for this project, then it’s off to Fiji for a cruise of the Yasawa Islands
